1 X DIRECTOR: GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
  • Professor/Associate Professor with an earned PhD/DBA in Business Administration/Management Science or equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Three (3) years teaching experience in an institution of higher learning as a Senior Lecturer/Manager.
  • A Namibian citizenship or permanent residence will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NQA accreditation process, evidence of research awards, leadership experience and other forms of research recognition, will be an added advantage.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

The university offers a competitive remuneration package, commensurate with the incumbent’s qualifications and experience.
This includes a Pension Scheme, Medical Aid, Housing allowance (depending on the Managerial level). Preference will be
given to suitably qualified Namibian Citizens and to designated categories as prescribed by the Namibian Affirmative

REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

  • At least 5 years relevant teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; a minimum of 10 research products (e.g. articles,
    book chapters, peer reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) published by recognized publishers. Five (5) of these must be articles in refereed/
    accredited journals in internationally recognized indexing databases. The remaining 5 publications could be, book chapters, peer reviewed
    conference proceedings, etc. published by recognized publishers; Evidence of mentorship/supervision of early career scholars/graduate students;
    recognizable research impact, including but not limited to citations, the h-index, patents, policy applications, peer reviews, publications that are
    prescribed texts in other institutions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROFESSOR

  • At least five (5) years relevant teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; (iii) have a minimum of twenty-five (25) pieces of
    research products (e.g. articles, book chapters, peer reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) published by recognized publishers. Fifteen (15) of
    these must be articles in refereed/accredited journals in internationally recognized indexing databases. The remaining five (5) publications could
    be journal articles, book chapters, peer reviewed conference proceedings, etc. published by recognized publishers; Evidence of mentorship/
    supervision of early career scholars/graduate students; recognizable research impact, including but not limited to citations, the h-index, patents,
    policy applications, peer reviews, publications that are prescribed texts in other institutions.
    Added advantages
  • Participation or through knowledge and understanding of the process of accreditation of a Business school. Evidence of research awards and
    other forms of research recognition, will be an added advantage.
